Some say it was caused by the Prawn population growing tired of their mistreatment. Others speculate it was because of a feeling of abandonment. Everyone remembers the day the Prawn mother ship left Earth, presumably on its way home.
Perhaps the Prawns believe they no longer have to be looked down upon by human society.
